1. Acceptance of terms

By using FreeBookConvert ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The service

FreeBookConvert provides free file conversion tools that run entirely inside your web browser. Files are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to convert files you do not have the legal right to process, including copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to convert. You are solely responsible for the files you convert and the use of the converted output.

4. No warranty

While we test our converters carefully, no software is perfect. We do not guarantee that conversion results will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Always verify converted files before relying on them. For irreplaceable documents, keep an original copy.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeBookConvert and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, business interruption, or any other commercial damages or losses.

6. Third-party libraries and content delivery networks

The Service loads open-source JavaScript libraries from public content delivery networks (jsDelivr, unpkg, cdnjs). Use of these CDNs is governed by their own terms. We pin specific library versions and use Subresource Integrity hashes to reduce the risk of tampered code.

7. Advertising

The Service is supported by display advertising served by Google AdSense and may include other third-party ad networks in the future. Ads are subject to their respective publishers' policies. We do not endorse the products or services advertised.

8. Intellectual property

The Service name, logo, content, and design are property of FreeBookConvert. The open-source libraries used to perform conversions are owned by their respective authors and used under their original licenses.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
